Katie was integral to our daughter’s academic success in 10th-12th grade, helping her with mathematics, essay writing (in English), time management and organization skills, and – her senior year – the ACT.  Katie was extremely patient while working with our daughter, who has challenges concentrating/ staying on task because of ADHD, and was always able to work through the assignment with her, no matter how daunting it first appeared. When it came time for our daughter to take the ACT, she improved her score by 7 points after working with Katie! This allowed her to achieve the score she needed to get into the college of her dreams. We are so glad our daughter had the opportunity to work with Katie!

Katie tutored both of my kids individually to help them raise their ACT scores. I recommend her to anyone interested in getting one-on-one extra help/assistance in personal tutoring.  For example:  My son, Ryan took the ACT for the first time and received a 19.  He started meeting with Katie on a regular basis to prepare for the test for the next time around. When he took it again, he received a 23!  So, Ryan improved by 4 points and has now been accepted into the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities Campus.

Katie is a true professional who knows her stuff, but also cares about her students. My daughter’s ACT score went up 5 points with Katie’s help, and resulted in a scholarship that more than offset the investment in tutoring (by thousands!). We are forever grateful!

It has been a pleasure having our daughter work with Katie this past school year.  As parents, we realized finding the “right” tutor for our daughter could make a huge difference in her math success. Katie is an excellent tutor. She is extremely productive and organized in her time with her students, provides detailed and very helpful feedback and updates to parents and is warm, friendly and engaging. Katie has tutored two of our sons in math (Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Statistics). Both of our children saw significant improvement in their understanding of the course material and in their grades. One of our sons has dyslexia, and Katie was so thoughtful and helpful in working with him. She has a great heart, is very well versed in math, and is an extremely effective teacher. Her classroom and teaching skills lend themselves perfectly to tutoring. She isn’t just good at math, she is a gifted and excellent teacher. Both of my teenage boys enjoy their time with her.
